margaret hays's Story

I spent alot of time on the "new " campus--it was an excuse for most of us to be a little crazy and be a rebel as many of the DU kids were pretty preppy and from traditional homes. One night a bunch of us sat on the greens(I may be mistaken but there might have been a little smell of marijuana) and my scruffy tough little dog found me and I was told he had been hit by a car on evans, but obviously not too badly as he was having a great time, then my roommate and I and my dog spent the night in our sleeping bags right in front of the student union building--saved all the newspapers and my own pictures of kids planting flowers and the police with their masks on--wish I knew how to download some but I'm sure there are lots better ones. I have shared the newspapers with my kids classes years ago,it was more fun than serious and ofcourse there were rumors that professional organizers had been behind the whole thing as most DU students were not terribly involved with much more than finding ways to have fun!

Margaret,

First, I'm glad your dog was not seriously hurt!

But more to the point, we'd love to share your photos with others and with the film. If there's a way to borrow these to digitize and then return them, let's make it happen!

Thanks so much for jumping in and sharing your story.

Peace,

Sheila
